I was stationed in Korea on 9/11. I had gone to bed when I got a phone call from the Watch telling me to turn on the TV. I was just in time to see the second plane hit the World Trade Center. I actually didn’t see much more live on TV as I went into work at U.S. Forces Korea, Command Center Seoul and didn’t go home until afternoon the next day.
At this point I guess I’m supposed to have some deep thoughts to share but I can never find the right ones to say. All I can think about right now is:
“Let’s Roll.”
Never forget.

Watched it unfold live at home, since I was working 2nd shift at the time and wasn’t due to the store until after lunch.

I was in school as a child that day and didn’t learn of it until after I’d gotten home.
I remember that day. We didn’t have social media 24/7 then of course, and I didn’t have the TV on. My ex-wife called me, telling me the World Trade Center collapsed. “Which one? There are two of them.” … “Both of them!” … “Whaaa?”
Our Scout troop put up flags just before dawn this morning.
