  1. Thanks for taking the time to write a rebuttal, I’ve been thinking of doing the same. This and the Battles magazine ‘woke’ edition most recently published seem to really being pushing to solve a problem that believe exists or is not as bas as it is perceived. There are a handful of strawman arguments as to why wargamers are gatekeepers and or evil people, all designed to recast normal people as pariahs. All of this for some reason is trying to catch hold, but really not resonating with anyone except a handful trouble makers on facebook and the terrified management of BoardGame Geek who can’t find their spine. I’ve seen revenue generating youtubers abandon BGG, due to their policies, as well of course as the boardgame designers being banned.
Given time I think these activists who wont have a reasoned discussion will eat themselves. Our little hobby will continue to grow and morph at its own pace. I see it as a pretty open and welcoming place, its growing still and will continue to do so. All is well in the military conflict, simulation, wargame world!

    1. Agree. Identity politics has no place in our hobby, but alas some cannot view the world in any other way. Although I identify as a wargamer, the truth to the matter is I’m a gamer that often defies any stereotyping.

      1. Hey would you be interested in have a chat online with me? A recorded session. Either with or without camera? I love your work, and I want to share insights in a series of posts about all the content creators.
