Here is Iran’s latest submarine threat, the Ghadir (or Qadir):
From Daylife: Reuters Pictures – A Qadir submarine is seen in the Persian Gulf next to an anchorage during a ceremony in the sea port city of Bandar Abbas, 1330 km (830 miles) southeast of Tehran, August 8, 2010. The ceremony was held to hand over the four submarines, completely made in Iran, from Iran’s Defence Industry to the Iranian Navy.
RockyMountainNavy Comment: This submarine is the IS-120, a north Korean export version of the MS-29 Yono. For a complete breakdown of north Korean small submarines see the Covert Naval Blog.
