Mini Model Memo 26-2 ~ Toy learning stage

I have to hand it to Bambu Lab because they certainly make it easy to get started in 3D printing at home. The setup of my new Bambu Lab A1 Mini was very simple. The Bambu Handy app also has a gamified learning tutorial process that, well, is OK. Here are a few experiments I did this weekend.

Benchy

Novgorod

Novgorod from 4P Press on WarGameVault. Left is “default” 1/2400 scale at ~13mm width; Right is 200% scale (1/1200?); fair results (photo by RMN)
HMS Thunder Child—Hero of the Martian Invasion of 1898—from 4P Press via WarGameVault. Right is default 1/2400 scale and left is 200% (1/1200 scale?) versions. Bambu Studio warned of the unsupported overhang deck but I went ahead and printed anyway again with fair results (photo by RMN)

The Bambu Lab Mini A1 has a default 0.4mm nozzle; wondering if at the scales I am likely to be working at it would be worth investing in a 0.2mm nozzle.

As much as I would like to dedicate myself to using my printer for my gaming hobby, I also showed Mrs. RMN the free online model pages and some of the “small home accessory” items for print. I likely now created an “alternative line of work” for my printer…
