Off to Hawaii

Yonhap reports that two ROKN destroyers have left for the biennial RIMPAC Exercise.  Looks like the ROKs sent the KDX-II class DD-976 Moonmu Daewang and the KDX-I class DD-973 Yang Manchun.  Buried near the end of story it also states that the Type-209 SS-68 Lee Sunshin will also participate.  There is also references to “patrol combat corvettes” (possibly Ulsan or Pohang-class PCC’s) and anti-submarine attack helos (probably Super Lynx Mk 100 aboard the destroyers).
