New arrivals
Take that Hill! (UK Fight Club, 2022). Designated for The Armchair Dragoons.
Maneuvering to War: The US 1941 Louisiana and Carolinas Maneuvers (High Flying Dice Games, 2024).
I almost certainly will be pairing the wargame Maneuvering to War with Christopher R. Gabel’s book The U.S. Army GHQ Maneuvers of 1941 (Center of Military History, United States Army, 1991)—which is a source document for the game—to write a “History to Wargame” segment for my blog.
Newly backed
Sixth Fleet Deluxe Edition (Decision Games).
Sixth Fleet Deluxe Edition shows a hypothetical NATO-versus-Soviet struggle for the Mediterranean during the last decades of the Cold War. It is primarily a naval-air conflict, with some elements of power projection using ground forces. The game map is divided into sea and land areas to control the action. There are two 15-turn scenarios, one for the 1970s and one for the 1980s, with the later introducing improved ships & aircraft. Victory is based on controlling vital areas and inflicting losses.
Sixth Fleet Deluxe is built upon the same game engine used in Red Dragon Green Crescent Deluxe Edition which I profiled early in 2025.
Battle Decisions: Kriegsspiel (Catastrophe Games via Kickstarter).
A quick way to enter the Kriegsspiel hobby with everything you need to get started: Maps, counters, a set of rules, dice and rulers.
Astra Titanus: Deluxe Edition (Pungo Games via Kickstarter).
Astra Titanus is a solitaire game of space fleet battles against a titanic alien BOT controlled death machine. Playable in 60 minutes.
