2024 Boardgame Trend
Acquired fewer games and (not surprisingly) spent less overall. That is still a bit of a misleading statement; I acquired fewer games, more of what I acquired was free, yet my cost-per-game increased in 2024 meaning the few games I did purchase were much more expensive than in years past. Will have to see if the greater cost for fewer games translates into better games overall.
A reminder that my “Acquisition Year” is December 25, 2023 through December 24, 2024.

Compared to 2023 I acquired 42% less boardgames (10 in 2024 compared to 17 in 2023). I also spent 40% less ($295.16 in 2024 compared to $489.24 in 2023). Of the boardgames acquired in 2024, 50% were free as compared to 23.5% in 2023. All that said, my cost-per-game rose 2% ($29.52 in 2024 compared to $28.79 in 2023).
