TTRPG Roll 24-32 ~ Mildly ENvious of awarded TTRPG

I admit it; I am a wargamer before a roleplaying game player. Even so, I still keep a (wary?) eye on the roleplaying game (RPG) industry. One measure of that industry, but imprecise, is the awards. So I read with—admittedly—only mild interest the 2024 ENnie Awards winners that were announced at Gen Con on 2 August.

According to the website file770.com, “The ENnie Awards are an annual, fan-based juried award system for all tabletop RPGs. The ENnies were created in 2001 as an annual award ceremony, hosted by the leading D&D/d20 system fan site, EN World in partnership with Eric Noah’s Unofficial D&D 3rd Edition News.”

Some thoughts…

Eat the Reich

Eat The Reich (Rowan, Rook and Decard; Author: Grant Howitt) took home several awards. I almost backed this one on Kickstarter but eventually did not for no other reason than, well, something about it just was not for me. Still, congratulations.

  • BEST ADVENTURE – SHORT FORM / Gold
  • BEST ART, COVER / Gold
  • BEST ART, INTERIOR / Gold
